Oh hey! 👋 eniston Knowledge Bases launches

Published on November 25th, 2020

After many iterations and countless design changes we finally pushed eniston to our production server. 🎉

With eniston we try to solve multiple problems we were facing when we needed a simple, standalone knowledge base for another project. Don't get me wrong, there are many great solutions available. We were surprised just how many, to be honest. This almost demotived us building eniston. But we were not happy with other solutions. So yeah, we kept working.

Why not use an existing service?

Most services offer knowledge bases as part of a higher priced tier of their product. Which is fine - but sometimes you just need a simple knowledge base to help people find answers to their questions / problems. This has to be a quick solution, without much overhead. And without other functions you don't use or even need. Yet, you would have to pay for them. This mostly includes a chat bot, a CRM, email campaigns and whatnot. If you need this stuff all together in one app, eniston won't be the right fit for you.

The other options were too expensive. A simple knowledge base for a smaller or even bigger project should not cost $20+ per user per month.

Plus plan

Our Plus plan for either $6/month or $5.40/month (if paid annually) is the perfect fit for smaller startups (or even bigger ones) that want to give their users a quick way to find answers for their questions. With a clean backend for admins and a fast setup, this would have been a no-brainer for us when we needed a knowledge base a few months ago.

Business plan

The Business plan will offer many additions the Plus plan won't have. This includes password protection, custom javascript, multilingual content, Slack integration and user management for your team. The Business plan will launch sometime next year. And rest assured, we won't charge per user. One fixed price for as many users as you need.

We're looking forward to what the future holds for eniston and we're really excited about this launch of our knowledge base software.

Within the next weeks, we will introduce the possibility to request features and submit bug reports. We also plan to release a public roadmap and possibly some sort of changelog. Be sure to stick around.
